I’m Carmen Guerrero, a photographer and storyteller originally from Chicago, now based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Travel is at the heart of who I am and how I see the world. For me, photography isn’t just about capturing beautiful places, it's about honoring lived experiences, human connection.

My work is rooted in authentic, documentary-style storytelling. I approach every story with empathy, openness, and presence, observing the quiet in-between moments as much as the obvious ones. Whether I’m capturing the character of a subject in an editorial portrait, documenting daily life in another country, or digging deeper into environmental issues, I aim to create images that feel immersive, honest, and soulful.

I see my camera as a bridge that allows me to connect across cultures, experiences, and identities. Through genuine connection and intentional storytelling, I want the people I photograph to feel seen, heard, and valued. My goal is to preserve memory, celebrate humanity, and create space for belonging and understanding.

Curiosity continues to shape me, pushing me toward growth, adaptability, and deeper awareness. I’m always ready for the next experience and moment that reminds us how connected we really are.

At the core of my work is this: heartfelt storytelling grounded in trust, togetherness, and the beauty of being fully present.
